Welcome to the Bob D Summer Volleyball League at Charter Oak Park in Manchester
The 2026 summer season starts in May!
The league used to play at Riverside Park in Hartford. In 2024 the league started playing at Charter Oak Park in Manchester.
This is an adult co-ed recreational/non-profit league that runs from May thru Sept. each summer. Regular season matches start at 6:00 p.m. The league offers different formats and skill levels of play:
- Mondays: Six's format (Intermediate Recreation)
- Tuesdays: Reverse Coed format (Experienced Only) *
- Wednesdays: Six's format (Intermediate)
- Thursdays: Six's format (Advanced)
* The Bob D Volleyball League is offering Reverse Coed for the first time in 2025! A quick overview of this format: each team fields 4 players (2 men/2 women), men can only hit from behind the attack (10-foot) line and cannot block, the net is set to the height used for women's volleyball.
Games are held at Charter Oak Park in Manchester. For the location of the park, please see the google map link to the park under the "Locations & Maps" tab on the bar menu at the top (click on "Charter Oak Park, Manchester").

Team registrations are now closed for the 2026 summer season. If you are interested in joining this league with a team for the first time, playing as a free agent, or just getting more info, please complete the appropriate form directly under "Registrations" above.
Notes: You can register as a free agent/request info at any time. If you register as a free agent, your name will be added to a list of names available to sub or play- the list will be made available to the team captains. Free agents may or may not get a call from a captain to sub or play.
