Welcome to Manhattan Park District Youth Softball
Spring 2026
MPD teams participate in the Southside Softball Conference (Southside Softball Conference > Home), with teams from Frankfort, Mokena, Frankfort Square, Homewood, Steger, Flossmoor and Tinley Park.
Practices begin at the start of April. Games begin in late April and ends by the end of June.
Team rosters are created randomly and will be created shortly after the registration deadline.

Divisons Age determination is based on a players age as of August 31 of the most recent Fall season's year. (Ex, Fall 25/Spring 26... player's age as of 8/31/2025). If a player wishes to play in a division other than their age level, the parents/guardians must contact the MPD Athletic Coordinator. Pinto (8U). Mustang (10U).
Facemasks Players are required to wear protective facemasks when Pitching, Catching, or playing the Infield. Facemasks are recommended but not required to play Outfield. Players must provide their own protective facemask.
Equipment MPD provides players with a jersey top and hat, as well as basic team equipment, including batting helmets with required face masks. Players must provide own pants, shoes/cleats (no metal spikes), defensive gloves, and
