Spring 2026 - Mavericks Youth Soccer League
Manhattan Park District Mavericks Youth Soccer (MPD Mavericks) partners with the Mokena Park District to participate in an recreation level developmental league. This recreational league focuses on teaching fundamental skills to beginner and novice players ages 4yrs – 8th Grade. Utilizing small-sided games, this program is designed to maximize opportunities for ‘touches on the ball’ and active playing time for each player. This league follows typical Soccer rules, with modifications made to promote smooth and fluid game play with minimal stoppages.
Team rosters will be created shortly after the registration deadline and player evaluations. Coaches/Managers will be in contact with players on their team when practices begin in early April. Age 4-K teams play completely in-house schedule in Manhattan ONLY. Grade school division teams will play HOME/AWAY regular season schedule vs Manhattan/Mokena teams. Generally, practices begin in early April, regular season games will late April and the league wraps up with a post-season tournament at the end of June.
Manhattan Park District provides all players with uniform top only. Players responsible for providing own socks, shorts, cleats (no toe cleat) and shin guards.
