- The Tar Heels defeated the Mudcats 13-5 in the season opener. Ethan Gore picked up the win on the mound with 5 strong innings. He allowed just 1 earned run scattering 5 hits while striking out 10 batters, Gore also led the Tar Heels 13 hit attack with 3 hits driving in 3 runs. Alec Creech also had 3 hits with a 3B. Kenny Franks and Austin Roberts each added 2 hits each.
- Jaiden Granda hit a 2-run homer in the 1st inning for the Bulldogs. Cameron Gurkin and Jaiden Granda scored 8 of the 13 runs for the Bulldogs. Carson Borland was perfect behind the plate not letting any balls pass.
- Fisher Gurganus was the winning pitcher. We threw 3 Pitchers only threw 79 pitchers.Garrett Emmons went 3 for 4 with 3 RBI and scored 2 runs.Fisher Gurganus went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI and scored 3 runs.Christopher Phillippe went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI and scored 2 runs Cameron Inman went 3 for 4 and scored 1 run Ian Gentle went 3 for 4 and scored 1 run Kaden Scott went 3 for 4 with 1 RBI and scored 2 runs Hunter Evans, Elijah Stout and Colton Chapman went 2 for 2 and scored 1 run.
- The Sharks opened the new season with a home game versus the Storm. The Sharks battled kept it close for a few innings before the Storm pulled away for the 17 to 5 win in 6 innings. The Sharks Brayden Parrish had a 2-4 day at the plate. Steven Shultz had a 2 RBI double in the 3rd inning. Adrian Faircloth had a sharp single and Gavin Evans collected 3 BB's on the day.
- The Sharks faced the Seahawks in game 2 of the season at Cedar Grove Park. The Seahawks came out strong scoring 8 of their 12 runs in the first 2 innings. The Sharks bats were kept quiet all night by some good Seahawks pitching. However Gavin Evans collected a RBI single in the first inning for the Sharks. Also finding gaps was Steven Shultz with a 2 for 3 night. Adrian Faircloth, Dylan Edwards and Brayden Parrish had the other hits for the Sharks in game 2 of the season.
- The Sharks took the field for the final game of a 3 game home stand to open the season. The first 2 games had not gone the Sharks way at all but the team had worked hard n practice the 2 nights before a match up with the Mudcats and it showed in a 8 to 6 victory at Cedar Grove Park. Adrian Faircloth (1-0) making his 1st start of the young season pitched 6 solid innings allowing 4 runs (3 earned) with 2 K's to earn the win. On offense John Boraski had a 3 RBI triple. Also picking up RBI's all with singles were Faircloth, Dylan Edwards, Syrus Anderson, Devin Pauley and Mason DiBienedetto. Game balls were awarded to Faircloth and Zach Klamerus for there play on defense for the Sharks.
- Landon Lattin took the mound for the first time in his young Dixie Boys career and didn't disappoint. He pitched a no-hitter in an 11-0 win over the Storm. he struck out 12 batters, hit one and walked one allowing just two Storm runners to reach base. The Tar Heels managed just 5 hits but took advantage of 5 Storm errors in the win. Austin Roberts had 2 hits including a triple to lead the Tar Heel hitting. Nehemiah Parrish had a 2 run inside the park homer while Ethan Gore and Isiah Greer had the other Tar Heel hits.

- The Sharks played there 1st road game of the season at Town Creek vs the Leland Bulldogs and lost on a 2 out walk off hit in the bottom of the 7th in a thrilling 6 to 5 game. The Sharks got on the board 1st with 2 runs in their 1st at bat thanks to RBI hits from Brayden Parrish and Devin Pauley. Sharks got another run in the 2nd on a RBI sac fly by Parrish. Adrian Faircloth and Gavin Evans collected BB's in the 5th inning and came around to score to put the Sharks up 5 to 3 but the Bulldogs would battle back. Pauley finished the night with 2 hits as did Syrus Anderson and Zack Klamerus for the Sharks. The defensive play of the night belonged to Faircloth who ran down a deep drive to right center in the bottom of the 7th and turned it into a double play to keep the lead for the Sharks at the time. Gavin Evans pitched a complete game for the Sharks as well.
- Zach Steagall had 1 hit and 3 runs, Kody Bland had a 2B and 3 Runs, Sincere Ledbetter had 1 hit, Josh Hopkins scored 2 runs, Winning Pitcher was Zac Steagall.

- The Sharks traveled to Town Creek to take on the only undefeated team left in the league as they faced the Leland Tarheels. A great game unfolded with the Sharks holding on for the 4 to 3 victory. Adrian Faircloth started and went 4 innings to pick up the win. He allowed 2 runs (1 earned) to earn his second win of the season (2-0). Gavin Evans collected the teams 1st save of the season by striking out the side in the bottom of the 5th. Evans did allow a unearned run but struck out the final batter with the tying run on 3rd. The Sharks collected 10 hits on the night with Stephen Schultz, Syrus Anderson and Zack Klamerus all having 2 hit games. Collecting RBI's were Devin Pauley with 2, Anderson with 1 and John Boraski with a sac fly RBI in the top of the 5th for the insurance run the Sharks needed. Also recording hits were Faircloth, Brayden Parrish, Pauley and Evans.
- Zack Steagall had 1 hit, Josh Surgiou had a 1b and 2b, Ledbetter had a hit, Jaden Grissett had a hit. Winning pitcher was Josh Hopkins.
- Cole Merrill got the win pitching a complete game for the Bulldogs. Cameron Gurkin got a hit and scored the game winning run.
- Game 2 of the double header at town creek park was just as good as the first but this time the Tarheels got the 7 to 4 win as the Sharks could not rally in the night cap of a good evening. The Sharks handed the ball to Zack Klamerus for his 1st ever start in Dixie Boys. He went 4 innings and recorded 6 strikeouts. He surrendered 5 runs but only 3 were earned. Having a good game at the plate for the Sharks in the night cap were Gavin Evans going 2 for 3 with 2 RBI'S. One was collected on a inside the park homer, the Sharks 1st home run of the season. John Boraski also was 2 for 3 with a RBI. Stephen Schultz was 1 for 3 with a double and the other RBI. Shane Chisholm also had a double for his 1st extra base hit of the season. Others with singles were Adrian Faircloth, Brayden Parrish and Zack Klamerus.
- Winning pitcher for the Seahawks was Josh Hopkins. Zach Steagall had 2 hits.
- The Sharks hosted a double header at Cedar Grove Park against there opening day opponent the Storm looking to even the series. The Sharks started Adrian Faircloth and it paided off as the Sharks got the 6 to 5 win. Faircloth pitched a complete game allowing only 5 hits, 1 walk and striking out 7 to improve to 3-0 on the season. The Sharks bats were mostly quiet on the evening but the team took advantage of some Storm miscues to pick up the win. Collecting hits were Faircloth, Devin Pauley, Syrus Anderson and Zack Klamerus. Klamerus had the clutch hit of the game with a 2 out, 2 RBI double to break a 4-4 tie and put the Sharks up by 2.
- Josh Surigao had 2 hits for the Seahawks and Lavar Sharpe had 1.
- Game 2 vs the Storm and the rubber match of the season series was a much different affair than the opening game of the evening. The Storm got out to a big league early only to see the Sharks rally back and bring the go ahead run to the plate in the final inning but the Storm got a timely pick off for the 3rd out to hold on and win 11 to 9 in a exciting game. Helping the Sharks rally back were Adrian Faircloth, Gavin Evans, Steven Schultz and Zack Klamerus all collecting 2 hits for the game. Faircloth and Schultz each had 2 RBI's with Klamerus, Brayden Parrish, Devin Pauley and Shane Chisolm each collecting 1 RBI.
- The Sharks traveled to shallotte to face the only team they hadnt seen yet this season, the Bad Boyz. The Sharks jumped out to a 7 to 3 lead after 2 innings but couldnt hang on as the Bad Boyz rallied back in there final inning to get the 9 to 8 walk off win. Helping the Sharks jump out to the early lead were Steven Schultz and Devin Pauley both having 2 for 2 with a BB nights. Schultz almost had his 1st over the fence home run but needed about 3 more feet. Zack Klamerus was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI and Adrian Faircloth was 1 for 3 with 1 RBI. Pauley also picked up a RBI for the game. The Sharks host the Bad Boyz again next week looking to even the season series between the to evenly matched teams.
- The Tar Heels took advantage of 10 base on balls in an 8-1 win over the Seahawks Monday night. They scored 4 runs in the 1st and 4th innings. Seahawks pitching held the Tar Heels to just six hits on the night. Isiah Greer reached base three times with a hit and two walks driving in three runs. Alec Creech, Austin Roberts, Ethan Gore, Kenny Frank, and Landon Lattin all had hits for the Tar Heels. Frank got the win pitching in relief of Lattin. He scattered four hits, striking out three with no walks over 5 innings. The Steagall brothers both had a hit for the Seahawks. Also, Sincere Ledbetter, Jayden Grissett and Tyler Cross had hits in the ballgame.
- Game one it was all the left arm of Alec Creech who allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 9 with no walks in the complete game 8-0 win. It was the second win of the season for Creech. Isiah Greer led the Tar Heels at the plate with a double and 2 RBIs. Anthony Buck also drove in a pair of runs. Creech, Buck, Austin Roberts, Jadaan Richardson, and Landon Lattin all had hits.
- In game two Kenny Frank led the Tar Heels to a 12-4 win with a 2B and a 3B and also walking twice. Isiah Greer and Anthony Buck both drove in two runs. Austin Roberts, Ethan Gore, and Landon Lattin each had hits. Roberts got his first start of the season and made the most of it allowing just 4 hits, striking out 7 in four innings. Lattin pitched the last inning striking out three Mudcat batters.
- In game 1, Bulldog pitchers Jaiden Granda and Cole Merrill combined for 10 strikeouts in the win.
- The Tar Heels swept a DH from the Storm Friday night. First game score was 18-1 as Ethan Gore pitched a no-hitter. Gore walked two striking out five over the four-inning game that was shortened due to the run rule. Gore helped his own cause at the plate with two hits and three RBI’s, including a double. Isaiah remained hot at the plate with three of the team’s 12 hits. Kenny Frank had two triples with three RBI’s. Alec Creech drove in three runs and added an inside the park homerun. Anthony Buck added a triple, and Landon Lattin has a double.
- Cole Merrill, Jaiden Granda and Jay Rabon throwing 6 stikeouts giving the Bulldogs 2 more wins.
- The Sharks hosted the Mudcats in double header action on a steamy Fri night at the ballpark. The Sharks bats came out just as hot as the temperature to open the first game by scoring 8 runs on 8 hits and 2 walks in the top half of the first inning. Gavin Evans collected a RBI double, Steven Schultz had a RBI triple, Zack Klamerus had a RBI single, Adrian Faircloth had a 2 RBI double and Brayden Parrish finished up the big inning with a 2 RBI single. But the sharks could only plate one more run over the next 4 innings as the Mudcats would rally to win the game 10 to 9 on a walkoff single in the bottom of the 5th. This was the sharks 3rd such heart breaking loss of the season. Evans finished the game 3 for 3 along with Parrish and Klamerus having 2 hit games. Syrus Anderson and John Boraski also collected hits during the great game.
- In the nightcap the Tar Heels fell behind early but battled back putting six runs on the board in the 3rd inning in route to an 11-5 win. The game was shortened to 31/2 innings due to the time limit. Tar Heels managed eight hits in the game with Creech, Franks, and Austin Roberts getting two hits each. Creech has double and a triple with Frank also hitting a triple. Anthony Buck and Nehemiah Parrish collecting the other two hits. Frank and Creech drove in four and three runs respectively. Austin Roberts picked up the win scattering five hits with seven strikeouts. He didn’t allow a base on ball nor an earned run. He was the victim of five errors from his defense.
- Kody Bland led the way for the Seahawks with 3 hits. Josh Surgaio tripled in the contest. Zach Steagall, Trey Steagall, Josh Hopkins and Sincere Ledbetter all collected hits in the contest. Zach Steagall picked up the win, going the distance for Shallotte in the victory.
- The Sharks had to put the tough loss behind them quickly but the Mudcats still had the momentum as they collected another win by a score of 13 to 4. Helping the Sharks with the bat in the 2nd game were Zack Klamerus, Gavin Evans, Steven Schultz, John Boraski and Dylan Edwards all collecting singles. The big hit of the game belonged to Mason DiBennedetto with a gap double in the 4th inning. The Mudcats took the season series 2 games to 1. Last nights game was wild as the Sharks led the Bulldogs going into the 7th, 10-4. Bulldogs bats woke up in the first half of the 7th, scoring 8 runs to take the lead. Cole Merrill silenced the Sharks in the bottom of the frame to secure the Bulldogs victory.
- Winning Pitcher Josh Hopkins also had a hit in the victory. Kody Bland led the way with 3 hits, including a 3B. Zach Steagall had 2 hits. Josh Surgaio, Sincere Ledbetter and Trey Steagall all had hits in the game as well. Ledbetter's came by way of a 2B.
- The Tar Heels had to come from behind to down the Sharks 15-5 Friday night. The Sharks held the lead in the last of the 4th inning before the Tar Heels exploded for 8 runs, scoring 5 more in the 6th to end the game. Alec Creech led the Tar Heels 11 hit attack with 3 hits. Nehemiah Parrish had a double and triple driving in 3 runs. Ethan Gore had 2 hits including a 2B. Anthony Buck added a triple, while Kenny Frank had a 2B. Jadaan Richardson and Austin Greer had the other Tar Heel hits. Gore pitching in relief of Creech picked up his 4th win of the season allowing just 1 hit with 4 strikeouts over 4 innings.

- Tar Heels scored two runs in the last of the 1st inning which was all Kenny Frank needed as he shutout the Bulldogs 2-0 in game one. Frank scattered four hit, striking out 9 and walking none in five innings. Alec Creech got the only hit for the Tar Heels as Carson Borland was equally effective on the mound for the Bulldogs. Borland led the Bulldogs with a pair of hits including a double.
- AJ Meares had a hit, a run and 2 stolen bases. Jayden Grissett also had a hit.
- In game two four Tar Heel pitchers held the Bulldogs to three hits, but allowed 5 walks, and were the victims of four errors in route to an 8-4 win for the Bulldogs in front of a packed house as the two Leland teams squared off. Kenny Frank led the way for the Tar Heels with two hits including a 2 run triple. Alec Creech, Ethan Gore, Anthony Buck Isaiah Greer, Landon Latin, and Nehemiah Parrish all had hits. Borland added a bases loaded double for the Bulldogs who got an excellent pitching performance from starter Cole Merrill.
