Mapleton Pioneer Days Cornhole Tournament:

Check-in starts at 5:30 PM

• Matches are played in innings. Each player throws 4 bags per half-inning. The team that scores in an inning throws first in the next inning. If no points are scored, the same team throws first again. Matches in both Pool Play and Bracket Play are best 2 out of 3 games.
• Scoring: 1 point for a bag on the board (not touching the ground). 3 points for a bag in the hole, including bags pushed in by other bags. Cancellation scoring is used, so only the point difference is awarded. Bags must remain in place until both teams confirm the score. Bags hanging off the board count only if they are not touching the ground. Bags that bounce off the ground before landing on the board do not count.
• Games are played to 21 points or a maximum of 6 innings, whichever comes first. If both teams exceed 21, the higher score wins. If tied after 6 innings, one player from each team throws 4 bags in sudden death. The higher score wins.
• Each team will play 3 Pool Play matches. All teams advance to a single-elimination Bracket Play tournament.
• The winning team is responsible for reporting the final score to the check-in table.
• Players may use their own cornhole bags if they meet regulation standards (6" × 6", 1 pound each). Tournament staff may inspect bags if needed.
