Baseballs
Every team will provide there own baseballs. They don't have to be brand new. They must be leather and in good shape.
Sportsmanship
Please, everyone.... lets remember why we're out here. It's about the kids and not the adults. Please don't say anything negative about your child or anyone else's child. Everyone will make mistakes and they don't need mom or dad reminding them of what they did wrong. The same thing goes for the officiating. They're human and can make mistakes too. The umpires and players will do they're job. Let the players play and the umpires, umpire. Please don't put it in the hands of umpires or Tournament Director to eject you.
Drugs / Alcohol / Tobacco
Anyone caught drinking, with alcohol on the premises or under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be banned from any "DYBAT" events and will forfeit the current tournament.
Tobacco of any kind is prohibited.
Runs
7 runs per inning max
Mercy rule
15 after 3 innings
8 after 4 innings
Batting order, 3 choices
Teams may bat 9 only on the field
9 Batters plus an EH
Or bat full roster.
free substitution batting full roster.
Defense
9 players are to be played on defense.
If you only have 8 you must take an out for your 9 batter unless it's due to illness or injury during the game.
if you drop below 8 players it's a forfeit.
Walks
There is no need to throw 4 balls to walk a player, simply tell the ump that you want to walk him.
Birth Certificates
Coaches, its your responsibility to have them handy in case one of your players gets protested. If you don't have it to show during a protest you will forfeit.
Protest Fee
Protest fee is $50. Protesting coach must let tournament director which player he's protesting. If its more than one player its an additional $50 and $50 for every player you want to protest. This rule is set for teams that suspect but aren't sure. Some kids are big but it doesn't mean they're too old. My suggestion is to be absolutely sure if you're protesting a player.
If protesting coach wins his protest he gets his money back and wins the protest. Protest must be made before the game is over. If he loses he loses protest fee.
Pitches
Pitching will be unlimited. It is recommended that if your pitcher pitches 9 outs on Saturday to be rested to pitch again on Sunday. It is recommended for a pitcher not to pitch more than 24 outs in a tournament.
