    We got an instant classic between the two Shallotte squads on opening night - The Sharks pushed two across in the top half of the 1st and never relinquished the lead. South Bellamy, Griffin Cox and Brayden McMullan all got hits in the contest. McMullan picked up his first win of the season for the Sharks. The Seahawks were led by Harlan Dwyer, who had two hits. Brantley Ellington, Tye Coffey and Tripp Kelly picked up hits for the Hawks as well.

    TOWN CREEK PARK FIELD #4
    Southport took the first game of the season series on opening night. Cooper Hill led the Storm at the plate with 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Liam Edmonds and Cameron McMahan also had hits for Southport. Wyatt Clewis got his first win of the season on the bump, pitching 2.2 innings allowing only 1 hit and 2 ER, striking out 5 Tarheels. The Heels lead off man, Dean Ryals, went 2-2 with an RBI and 3 runs scored. Nolan Reeves, Liam Whittington and Bobby Peterson also collected hits in the home opener.

    Waccamaw were triumphant over Cedar Grove in the home opener. The Bad Boyz jumped out to an early lead in the bottom of the 1st after River Wilson singled, scoring two runs, Brycetton Vaught singled, scoring two runs, and a steal of home scored one run. Bad Boyz added to their early lead in the 2nd after a Grayson Dees triple and Scooter Carlise double. Dees got his first win of the season for the Boyz, with Elijah Robinson collecting his first save of the season.

    Town Creek were victorious against the Sharks from Shallotte on Thursday night 6-2.The heels got on the board in the 1st after Dean Ryals doubled, and Bobby Peterson grounded out, each scoring one run.Veteran Liam Whittington got the start on the mound for the heels, only allowing 1 hit and 2 runs over 3 innings, striking out 3 and walking 2.

    Bad Boyz dropped their first game of the season 8-4 Thursday night. Scooter Carlise, Elijah Robinson, Grayson Dees and River Wilson each collected hits for the Bad Boyz.Hayden Carver had a huge double in the Southport victory, driving in 3 runs. Arlee Potter earned the win for Southport, allowing 4 hits and 3 earned runs, striking out 5.

    The Seahawks jumped out in the 1st inning Monday night and never looked back. Dwyer, Ellington, Coffey, Turnage and Abbott all had hits for Shallotte. Parmelee and Herring both had hits for the Bulldogs. Moore was the winning pitcher, tossing 3.1 innings allowing no hits and 1 earned runs, striking out 6.

    Wyatt Clewis was dominant on the bump, as the righty rung up 12 strikeouts in Southport's 12-0 victory over Cedar Grove. Clewis allowed one hit and no runs over four and two-thirds while walking two.Southport won thanks in part to seven runs in the fourth inning. Cam McMahan drew a walk, scoring one run. Mason Price drew a walk, scoring one run, Liam Brice doubled, scoring two runs, Aiden Caggiano singled, scoring one run, Huc Hill drew a walk, scoring one run, and a passed ball scored a run. A walk by Tyler Jamerson extended the Southport Storm's lead to 5-0. Hill, Brice, and Caggiano each collected a hit for the Storm. Arlee Potter paced Southport with three walks.

Jacob Kennedy singled, scoring one run, Jacob Kibler singled, scoring three runs, Liam Brice drew a walk, scoring one run, Huc Hill drew a walk, scoring one run, Mason Price singled, scoring one run, Hayden Carver was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Elliot Swartzendruber singled, scoring three runs, and Tyler Jamerson singled, scoring one run.Southport Storm got on the board in the top of the first inning after Huc Hill singled, and Hayden Carver hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.Ethan Fisher led things off on the hill for Southport Storm. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and five runs (three earned) over three innings, striking out three and walking five.Grady Whiteside started on the mound for Bulldogs. The starting pitcher gave up nine hits and 14 runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking seven. Arlee Potter threw one inning of shutout ball for Southport Storm in relief. The reliever gave up zero hits, striking out one and walking one.Southport Storm collected 10 hits in the game.Elliot Swartzendruber, the number seven hitter for Southport Storm, led the way with three runs batted in. They went 1-for-1 on the day.Tyler Jamerson, Southport Storm's number eight hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats.

    Despite leading by as many as five runs, Seahawks fell to Waccamaw Badboyz 12-9 on Monday.Seahawks got on the board in the top of the first inning after Seahawks scored on a wild pitch, Luke Helms singled, T Turnage singled, B Rodriquez walked, and H Dwyer walked, each scoring one run.A ground out by Helms extended the Seahawks lead to 6-1 in the top of the second inning.Waccamaw Badboyz flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring nine runs on three hits to take a 10-6 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was an error that drove in two.L Moore led things off on the bump for Seahawks. The righty allowed three hits and six runs (five earned) over one inning, striking out one and walking none. Liam H started the game for Waccamaw Badboyz. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and six runs over one and one-third innings, striking out three and walking eight.T Coffey, Turnage, and Helms each collected one hit for Seahawks. Helms led Seahawks with two runs batted in. They went 1-for-3 on the day. Seahawks had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating 12 walks for the game. T Kelly and Dwyer led the team with three walks each. Kelly and B Ellington each stole multiple bases for Seahawks. Seahawks ran wild on the base paths, piling up six stolen bases for the game. Seahawks turned one double play in the game.Brycetton V, Scooter Carlise, Grayson Dees, River Wilson, H, and Tj Sommersett each collected one hit for Waccamaw Badboyz. H and Will H each drove in two runs for Waccamaw Badboyz. Brantley paced Waccamaw Badboyz with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. Brantley stole two bases.
