- Both Southport and Town Creek came out on opening day looking for a battle, as both pitching staffs came ready to duel in what ended up being won on a final wild pitch to break the tie and move the Storm to 1-0 on the season. Southport's Jaxon Wallace picked the win, pitching 5 1/3 innings with no earned runs. He struck out 8. Drew Fisher led the way at the plate, going 2 for 3 with an RBI.
- The Southport squad came out firing on all cylinders Monday night. They collected 12 hits on the night, led by 3-hit games from Drew Fisher and Ashton Mote. Fisher was a homer shy of the cycle with 4 RBI. Mote also added 2 RBI. Jayden Daniels had two hits with 2 RBI and Jaxon Wallace singled and scored 3 runs. Jess Bowling pitched 4 complete innings for the Storm, allowing no earned runs with 7 punchouts to go along with it. Daniels took over for Bowling in the 5th, striking out the side.Shallotte's Drake Long had a hit and RBI in the contest and Eli Granade scored the lone Seahawk run.
- Southport continued their early season success with a big win at home against Waccamaw. Jess Bowling pitched 4 complete innings, allowing no earned runs while striking out 10 Bad Boyz. Drew Fisher pitched the final frame, striking out the side. Fisher and Jayden Daniels paced the Storm offense with 2 hits apiece, each hitting doubles while Fisher collected 4 RBI. Jayden Rivera, Brody Beatini, Jess Bowling, Arlee Potter, Eliott Swartzendruber and Jackson Wall all got hits for Southport as well with Wall adding 3 RBI as well.
- The 1st place Storm beat Shallotte behind a big night from Drew Fisher, who collected 3 hits and 5 RBI. Jaxon Wallace also had a mult-hit game, including a 2B. Brody Beatini, Jess Bowling, Tyler Jamerson and Jayden Rossi all had hits for Southport. Bolwing picked up the win on the mound, pitching 4 complete innings, striking out 7 Seahawks while allowing 3 runs. Wallace pitched the 5th, striking out 2.
- After dropping game one of the DH 10-2 Town Creek turned the tables on the Storm in game two with an 8-2 win in the nightcap. In game one the Tarheels were held to just three hits with Brayden Edwards getting a pair and Camden Pszczultkoski getting one. In game two Town Creek had five hits while Edwards and Bobby Peterson held Southport to four hits with Edwards earning the win. Peterson, Edwards, Riley Norcross, Ty Hall, and Brayden Hauser all collected a hit for Town Creek and Peterson drove in a pair of runs.
- Despite the loss, the Seahawks were led by Eli Granade and Luke Helms, who each had doubles. Helms had 2 RBI as well.
- The Tar Heels escaped with a 3-2 win over Southport Monday night in an old fashioned pitchers duel. Cam Pszczultkoski allowed four hits and one run over five innings with 8 strikeouts for Town Creek while Jess Bowling was equally impressive striking out seven, allowing four hits and two earned runs in 6.2 innings of work. But it was Liam Whittington that took home the win. He entered the game with the bases loaded and one out in the 7th inning and got out of the jam with a punch out and a pop fly. Brayden Edwards drew a two out walk in the last of the 7th, stole second and scored in a two out hit by Whittington to end the game. It was Whittington’s second hit of the game as he also drove in a pair. Riley Norcross, Bobby Peterson, and Brayden Hauser got the other Town Creek hits.
