Kiwanis Series
Provo Parks & Recreation
The Kiwanis Series is a series of family-friendly cross country meets for youth of all ages. A $4 fee will be charged per meet that is payable by cash, check, or credit card at each event. Races will be held at Kiwanis Park (1019 N 1100 E, Provo) on Tuesdays @6pm in September. Races will be between a 1K or a 4K in distance.

1 Heat Races - begin promptly at 5:30pm. Please register 30 minutes prior to the start of your heat so all runners can be at the starting line at race time. Older/faster runners are encouraged to line up first when there is a single heat with younger/slower runners lined up behind for safety reasons.

3 Heat Races - Heat 1 begins promptly at 5:30pm with ages 13-18 yrs running first, 9-12 yrs running second, and 3-8 yrs running last. Heats will be spread 15-20 minutes apart. Please register 30 minutes prior to the start of your heat so all runners can be at the starting line at race time. Participants must run in their own heat to be considered for awards.
Children who are too young to run independently or who need assistance may have a parent/older sibling run with them; however, they may not be dragged through the course. Parents/siblings may not run with youth for the purpose of pacing them. Adults associated with youth runners who wish to run the race themselves may do so for the same $4 fee as the youth, but may not circle back through the course to run with other runners after they finish the race. Faster adults should run with the 13-18 age group; slower adults should run with the 9-12 age group.

Due to the recreational nature of our races, in the unlikely event that there are timing malfunctions, no refunds will be given since the children will still have had the opportunity to race against other youth and had the opportunity to have a great time running.
