Starting in the Fall of 2024, a new uniform will be used and will be used for future seasons as well. This jersey is a reversible blue/green, so you will only need to bring this jersey to your games and wear the appropriate color for your team that day. ALL participants MUST purchase this jersey. (***Tip- Order a little bigger of a size so you can wear it for multiple seasons) If you have already purchased a jersey, there will be an option at the time of registration to opt out of purchasing another. SPORTSMANSHIP
Provo City has joined Recreation Departments across Utah to promote good sportsmanship within our programs. The Good Sports Utah initiative was created in an effort to raise awareness for positive sportsmanship in and around youth sports in Utah. Children participate in sports for a variety of reasons; physical fitness, friendship and fun typically top the list. The goal of youth sports should center around the participants building skills, competing and having fun! Adults can support that effort by cheering and encouraging all players, coaches and officials along the way.
Please support your player as a positive sport parent by pledging-
Please note that for any rules not specifically covered, we abide by United States Soccer Federation rules.
FAQ
Matching Request Policy
Unlimited matching requests will be available. Any more than two requests must come with a volunteer parent as a coach. Requests must still be reciprocal. If your friends do not request you back - there is NO guarantee that you will be placed on the same team, especially if they are in a different school area. There are often multiple teams per school in each grade.
Combined vs Separate Grades
With the current size of our program, there is not the same need to combine every age group in order to have enough teams within a division for a good playing experience. Separating grades will help to streamline skill levels within some age groups and should result in an overall better playing experience. In the event there are not enough children registered within a given age group, we reserve the right to re-combine those age groups if needed. Participants will still play on the days listed in the Activity Guide.
