We are excited to bring back one of El Paso's biggest tournaments, the "Latino World Championships"!!! We would like to invite everyone to this years event! The tournament will be held August 1st-3rd in El Paso, TX.
The tournament will be held over the same weekend that the Walmart Shooting happened in 2019. We would like to honor the lives that were lost that day by holding a moment of silence before the start of each game. We are hoping to register more than 152 teams which were originally ready to play that historical and heartbreaking weekend. At the time, the Latino World Championships was the biggest tournament in El Paso, and we hope to keep that expectation going strong.
We want to provide El Paso with a good quality tournament which is why we have partnered up with different schools, coaches and organizations that will help to better the tournament. We want the opportunity to give back to the community, so we have teamed up with several local high schools to help give them an opportunity to raise money by hosting the event! We are trying our best to have ALL games on full size, quality courts and gyms.
The only way to make this tournament a success is with the support and help from everyone in El Paso. Coaches and parents please help us get the word out on this great event!!
This event will also bring college coaches to evaluate and recruit local players!!
