Join the City of Douglasville and get ready for our first summer youth basketball season at Jessie Davis Park! Our Summer Youth Basketball League is open to players of all skill levels and focuses on skill development, teamwork, and fun in a supportive environment.
Important Dates:
- Registration: April 1 - May 22
- Coaches Meeting: May 20, 2026 at 6:30pm at Jessie Davis Park
- Parents' Meeting: May 19, 2026 at 6:30pm online
- Evaluations: There will not be any evaluations for summer basketball.
Team Selection/Draft Process
Frozen (Reserved) Participants: To maintain a balanced and fair team selection process, the league permits coaches to designate certain players as "frozen" prior to the draft. This policy allows coaches to retain specific players they are familiar with, such as siblings, relatives, or other participants they have coached in the past. By freezing these players, coaches can ensure continuity and comfort within the team environment. A coach can only freeze three (3) players per season. Coaches' children are included in the freeze process.
No request to play with a certain player or coach will be accepted.
- Team Notifications: May 27, 2026
- Practices Start: Week of June 1
- No Refunds After: June 7
- First Game: June 12 & June 13. Teams will play six (6) regular season games. Game schedules will be uploaded to the link provided: City of Douglasville QuickScores
