Spring 2026 Men's Basketball League (South Davis Recreation Center) - Basketball - Youth
WELCOME TO MENS Rec League BASKETBALL
Start Date: March 17th, 2026
Location: South Davis Recreation Center
Expectations for the League:
All teams will play 10 league games.
Single elimination tournament with top 4 teams going to tournament play.
Rules to remember that have changed in recent time are the no flopping policy. Players can receive a warning and then a technical foul if the ref defines the player's actions as fake when 'flopping' around on the court, trying to pull a foul.
Please respect the employees who are working in our gyms. We do have a no toleration policy for abusive behavior towards our staff. You will be asked to leave and could be subject to being banned from the league, depending on the severity of the incident.
Players must play in at least 6 of 10 games to be eligible to play in the tournament.
You cannot add to the roster, once the season has started.
Your team must have matching jerseys with numbers on the front and back of the jersey, and a light or dark option.
Players are allowed to play for one team in the league. You must be 21 yrs or older to participate in this league.
Players are responsible to get their lineups to the scorekeepers 5 minutes prior to tip-off. BE on time so the games can end on time.
Each team has 4 timeouts per game. Timeouts do not carry over.
The clock will stop in the last 2 minutes of the second half. The clock will stop, the last two minutes of the 2nd half, for free throws.
DUNKING OR ATTEMPTING TO DUNK THE BALL WILL RESULT IN A TECHNICAL FOUL.
7 team fouls will automatically go into the double bonus and shoot 2.
Any team may be issued a Team Technical foul for the behavior of the team as a whole or for the behavior of your Team spectators. Any Team who receives 2 team technical fouls in a game will forfeit the game.
Any player who accumulates 3 Technical fouls throughout the season will be ejected from the league.
Receiving a technical foul during a game will result in an 8 minute penalty on the bench. If a second technical foul is issued than the player is ejected from the game and will be required to sit out the next game as well.
Excessive Foul Language or use of profanity will not be tolerated.
Violent behavior or fighting will not be tolerated.
Thank you for registering for our league! We look forward to a great season. Please email Sarah Johnson at sjohnson@southdavisrecreation.com if you have any questions or concerns.
