Managers and players are required to wear face masks at all times while in the dugouts. Managers and players should be spaced out in the dugout so that all players are six feet apart. Any additional players must be spaced out on the outside of the dugout. The dugouts have been extended to allow for increased social distancing. Players must use entire extended dugout and spread all players and items out.
Face coverings are recommended but not required during play.
Drinking fountains will not be available. Concessions will be available for purchase. Please wear a face covering while in line and ordering from the concession stand.
Players are encouraged to place their personal items (bags, water bottle, etc.) at a safe distance (6 feet) from others to avoid any surface contact.
Players should have their own helmet, glove, bat and catcher’s equipment. Handling of shared equipment is prohibited.
Each team will be provided a game ball and is responsible for switching out their ball and/or sanitizing between innings.
Social distancing of six feet between players and umpires should be implemented at all times, especially during pre-game meetings between team captains and umpires. Pre-game meetings are limited to one captain from each team.
Foul balls landing outside the field of play should be retrieved by participating players. No spectators should retrieve the ball.
No handshakes or fist bumps.
No spitting, chewing, smoking, or tobacco is allowed. ABSOLUTELY NO SEEDS OF ANY KIND. Any player found in violation will result in immediate ejection.
Players wishing to speak to an umpire or opposing team cannot come with 6’ and/or must have a mask on.
Spectators are allowed but must social distance themselves from others and follow all social distancing guidelines. All bleachers and picnic tables have been removed from the sports complex to allow more room for fans, teams, and guests to spread out.
Players are encouraged to bring and use hand sanitizer. Spray bottles have been placed in each dugout. Teams are encouraged to spray down their benches and high touch areas before and after their games.
Please be vigilant in preventing the spread of the virus by practicing good hygiene as recommended by CDC guidelines. Please stay home if you are experiencing any symptoms as listed by CDC guidelines.
Please do not enter the facility if you have any symptoms or exposure risks as listed by CDC guidelines. The preceding rules and regulations are temporary due to COVID-19. Groups not following the guidelines will be asked to leave. All other applicable Park District ordinances apply.
