Central Utah Middle School Volleyball League - 8th Grade Division
Game Times:
Do not follow the listed game times on this schedule except for the first match at 9 a.m. All other games have a time listed so the program could create a schedule and is a reference only.
The next match will start at the conclusion of the previous match. Be prepared to start earlier or later depending on the previous game play.
It is anticipated that each match should last about 45 minutes. Please make sure to arrive with plenty of time to play/warm up.
Serve/Serve Receive: To determine the first serving team, teams will do Rock/Paper/Scissors.
Line Judge/Score Keeper: Each team must provide 1 scorekeeper and 1 line judge when they play. Net official will be provided.
Warm Up Times:
* First game of the day 3 - 3 - 2
* After the teams have played once, 2 minutes shared serving
Rules:
* All matches will be 2 out of 3. The first two games to 25 with no cap but must win by two. The third game will be to 15 with no cap but must win by two.
* 8th grade division will use a regular weighted volleyball.
* 8th grade division players must serve behind the serving line. If teams have 6th or 7th graders playing in this division, they must serve behind the serving line.
* Free substitution is allowed so more athletes can play. Coaches may not substitute to allow a player to serve more frequently than every 6 spots or play the front row more frequently than every 6 spots.
