Age and Skill Level:

Central Youth Sports is proud to continue its successful affiliation with the Junior Baseball Organization (JBO) in 2018.  The Senior Division of JBO is players in 7th and 8th grade.  Central’s teams will participate in the (mid-Willamette) Valley League with surrounding communities.

The JBO Senior Division is made up of different skill level classifications or leagues.  CYS plans to support at least 2 Senior JBO teams for 2018 season, one American team, and one National team.

  •  Senior National - Senior National teams play on a high school field with 90 foot base paths and 60 ft from pitchers mound to home plate.
  • Senior American - Senior American teams play on a high school sized field with 90 foot base paths and 60 ft from pitchers mound to home plate.

 The Season:

League begins in early/mid MAY and runs through early/mid JULY.

Playoffs and Tournaments:

League and State playoffs will be held at the end of the season (mid to late July).  Other tournament dates to be determined.

Skill Assessment/Player Assignment:

All players in 7th & 8th grade wishing to play in the JBO Sr. division must participate in player evaluation sessions (i.e. “tryouts”). Player team assignment will be based on these evaluations and other considerations such as player/family interest and commitment level. Player evaluations will be held only once.  Participation is required if players desire to make the Federal or American teams.  Try-out location is still to be determined.  Players must be registered before tryouts.  The office is open every Wednesday night from 6-8 pm.

Player Fees:
Registration fees will be $ 195.00 for the 2018 season. This fee includes a jersey and hat.  The fee also goes towards paying for games officiated by trained umpires.

Registration begins the first week in February for the 2018 season
