5th-6th Grade Rules:
- Girls will be allowed to serve from inside the court. They should be able to step inside the court up to 5 feet.
- Servers are allowed to let the ball drop once before serving. If they let the ball drop twice in a row, the point will be awarded to the other team.
- Foot faults will not be called.
- Net violations will be called. Girls should not touch the net while attempting to play the ball (same as high school).
- Girls may step on, but not over the center line.
- Substitutions: Subs will enter the game at the middle back position.
- No double hits/touches will be called.
- 2 timeouts per set. 30 seconds per timeout.
- Only 2 sets will be played, win by 2. Cap at 28. The winning team will be the team with better differential. (i.e. Team A wins the set 25-22 and then loses the set 24-26. Team A will win the match because of their differential.)
- Tournament: We will play best of 3. The third set will only go to 15. Cap at 17.
- Volleylite balls will be used for the beginning of the season
