Hello Team!

Welcome to BNGSA softball.   We are P10 - Millan/Petro McDonald's Organization... (I'm thinking we'll need a mascot because that's too long to use in a cheer)

I am Jeff Guernsey, head coach this year. Mike Grabruck is also coaching with me, Hollie is his daughter.   My daughter Brooklyn is playing her 2nd year; I coached her last year and we had a lot of fun.  

Our first practice is April 30th and first game is May 26th.    

I've coached my older two boys (15/13) in many different sports, baseball included, but last year was my first year with softball.   At this age, it's all the same. My philosophy is pretty simple:   teach the game, build skill and have fun.   I want these girls to grow in the game and enjoy playing.  If we do that, we'll win a few games, but that's not the focus this year. I will play everyone in every position, and we'll bat evenly as well.  Playing time is not based on practice attendance, however I reserve the right to keep kids out of harm's way with certain positions.  

Some things I've learned over the years that make things go well: I'd love to have a dugout parent help each game.  This will allow Mike and I to be in the field to help move girls around and coach in-game.  Basically, the dugout coach just lines the girls up and gets them ready to hit.   Also...treats are still a big thing, so if someone would want to coordinate that.  I'd be grateful if anyone feels a calling for either of those.
