The Banner Ads page is where you create and manage the images that you want to be displayed as banner ads on your website. After you have created your banner ads on this page, you will need to log out so that you can see how they look to the public.
Create a New Banner Ad - To create a banner ad, use the form fields in the yellow section at the top of the page, as shown in the screen shot below.

There are a few basic steps to creating a banner ad:
- Choose an Image - The Choose Image dropdown displays all images that are eligible to be used as a banner ad. If you have already uploaded the image, its title will be displayed in this list. If you want to use a new image, choose the "Upload new image" option. This will pop-down two new fields where you can browse and select the image from your computer and give the image a name, just like on the Downloads page.
-
Choose Placement on the Page - Banner ads can be placed either in a special right Side bar,
in the Top header area above the Login button, or at the Bottom of the page below the main content.
Make your selection from the Placement dropdown box. After you have
chosen where the ad will appear, you can also set its Order.
If you leave the Order blank, the ad will be placed in a random order along with other ads on the page. However, if want a banner ad(s) to always be on the top (of the side bar) or on the left (of the header area), then you can set the Order to a number and that banner ad will always be placed on top ahead of randomized ads. - Enter a Link - Usually when a company pays to have a banner ad, they want visitors to be able to click on the image and be taken to their website. The Link URL input box is where you enter the website URL that the image will be linked to. You can also set whether you want the link to open in the same window or a new window using the Open Link in selector.
-
Choose which Pages to Display On - You have 5 choices about which page(s) you want each banner ad to be displayed on:
- All pages - All pages on your site
- Home page only - Only on your organization's home page
- Sport specific - Choose any number of sports and the ad will be displayed on the schedule pages for all leagues in that sport.
- League specific - The ad will be displayed on the schedule pages for each league that you choose.
- Additional message pages - If you have any Additional Message pages, the ad can be displayed on any that you choose.
- After you are finished with your selections, click Submit to create the banner ad.
Edit a Banner Ad - To edit the parameters of an existing ad, simply make the desired changes in the blue and white table, and click either of the Submit buttons.
Delete an Ad - To delete an event, click the Delete checkbox in the upper right corner of the box and then click either of the Submit buttons.
Helpful Hints
Borders - You can choose whether or not you want the banner ad to have a thin gray border around the image. Most images look better with the border unless the image has a transparent background (which causes the border to look like it is boxing in the irregular shaped image). To turn off the border, simply click the Border checkbox for the desired banner ad.
Resizing - There are size restrictions on all banner ads. For ads in the side bar, the image can be no wider than 160 pixels. If the image that you upload is too wide, we will automatically resize the image (keeping the same proportions) so that it is 160 pixels wide. Similarly, the images in the top header area cannot be higher than 90 pixels and anything larger will be automatically resized. When viewing your list of banner ads, the dimensions of the image after resizing are displayed below the image.
Overlapping Images in the Top Header Area - Be aware that conflicts can sometimes arise when there are banner ads in the top header area causing the ads to overlap onto your organization's name. People with smaller screens are more likely to run into this issue, especially if you put more than one banner ad in the top area. In general, it is better to put banner ads in the side bar because there is no chance of images overlapping.
