Players-When choosing the team to play on, please make sure it is for the correct Day, Division and Coach.
There are some duplicate Team Names and Coaches.
Playing in multiple leagues does not offer a discount.
If "NO" you must register with USA Volleyball and will be charged $10.00 for Insurance Coverage.

Participation Agreement
I agree to comply with all rules and regulations of the Sand Volleyball league as stated by the Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association. I understand that I will be participating in the League as a player, and as such, recognize that there is some risk of injury. In consideration of my participation, it is expressly agreed that use of the volleyball facilities shall be undertaken by a registered player at his or her own risk. Neither the AOVA, nor the Municipality of Anchorage or any of their agents will be held liable for any injuries or damage to any league member or guest, or to the property of any member or guest. The AOVA and MOA will not be subject to any claim, demand, injury or damage whatsoever, including without ay limitation, those damages resulting from acts or active or passive negligence on the part of the AOVA and the MOA, their officer, agents or employees. The participant, for him/herself and on behalf of his/her executors, accepts responsibility for any injury, action, or cause of action. Neither the AOVA nor the MOA shall be accountable or liable to the participant for damaged, lost or stolen articles on the premises, or for the loss or damages to any property, including but not limited to automobiles and the contents thereof. All participants must be registered members of the USA volleyball.

COVID-19 Mitigation Plan

- Health Status Agreement
- All participants associated with Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association events must agree to abide by a health status agreement through online registration. Those that have already registered for the season must agree through an email response that is sent by Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association administration.
- Participants will not participate in Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association events if they:
- Exhibit current CDC recognized symptoms of COVID-19 (link)
- Have knowingly been in contact with a suspected or positive case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days
- Are within 72 hours of exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms (link) or a fever.
- When recovering from a case of COVD-19, are less than 14 days from onset or less than 72 hours since the end of significant symptoms (link to CDC) or fever.
- Have not been in the state for 14 days symptom free
- Participants will inform Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association if they do become sick within seven days of participation in any Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association event so that other participants can be informed that a fellow participant became sick and they should monitor for symptoms and practice recommended social distancing measures. - Registration, attendance.
- Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association participants will register online at www.aova.us.
- Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association will keep attendance of those expected to attend, and those that actually attend at all Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association events.
- Group size, limits, and monitoring
- Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association group size will be limited to up to 12 participants per court.
- Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association staff will monitor spectator count.
- Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association spectators will abide by social distancing guidelines (see section IV, Off Court operations)
- Off Court Operations
- Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association staff will remind all participants of the health status agreement details before the season and during the captains and players meeting.
- All participants, staff and spectators will remain six feet distance from others off the court. The exception is those that reside in the same dwelling.
- All Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association participants are encouraged to bring at least two 16 oz water bottles, full of water, to their session.
- Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association will maintain a hand sanitizing station that will include a spray hand sanitizer.
- Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association will maintain a medical station with bandaids, ice packs, neosporin, pre-wrap and other items.
- All participants and spectators will be encouraged (but not required) to wear masks while off the sand playing area.
- On Court Operations on the sand, for play
- Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association Staff will remind all participants of the health status agreement details before the season begins.
- Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association participants and coaches will stay 6 feet apart while engaging in volleyball activities on the court.
- Court size
- Court size will be 30 x 30 feet. These are the existing rope lines on the court currently.
- All regular USAV beach rules apply (no setting the serve, up to three contacts).
- Hygiene/disinfection of equipment.
- All Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association game volleyballs will be disinfected daily with sanitizer.
- Captains and Participants
- Training
- All contracted captains and staff will be trained on expectations to adhere to the mitigation plan
- No AOVA staff or league members displaying symptoms of COVID-19 will be permitted to be at a Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association event
- No AOVA staff or league members that have knowingly been in contact with a suspected or positive case of COVID-19 within the past 14 days will be permitted to be present at a Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association event.
- No AOVA staff or league members may participate within 72 hours of exhibiting a fever.
- No AOVA staff or league members in recovery from a case of COVID-19 may participate within 14 days from onset or less than 72 hours since the end of significant symptoms or fever.
- No AOVA staff or league members may participate if they have recently traveled and not been in the state for 14 days symptom-free during self-quarantine.
- Captains and players will inform Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association Director Jim Dooley if they do become sick within seven days of participation in any Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association event so that other participants can be informed that a fellow participant became sick and they should monitor for symptoms and practice recommended social distancing measures.
