COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS FOR SPORTS

Players, Coaches, and YMCA Staff
  1. Players, coaches, and YMCA staff must conduct COVID-19 symptom assessment before each practice and game.
  2. Anyone experiencing symptoms must stay home.
  3. Any player, coach, or YMCA staff exhibiting symptoms will be asked to immediately leave the gymnasium.  Adults will be asked to leave YMCA property.  Children will be isolated from other players, staff, and spectators until a parent arrives to take them home.
  4. Players, coaches, and YMCA staff must wear facial coverings when not in play (Documented exemptions apply)
  5. Please do not congregate before or after practice/game.
  6. Do not share drinks, food, towels, or facial coverings.  Please bring your own water and snacks.
  7. Hand sanitizer will be made available at the YMCA.  All players, coaches, and YMCA staff will be required to hand sanitize prior to the start of each game and after breaks.
Practices and Games
  1. The 6-foot distance must be maintained when not in play
  2. Players not in play will be asked to sit with family until called in.
  3. Family and household members should sit together in no more than groups of 4 and ensure 6 feet between other families/groups.  This will be enforced by the YMCA staff.
  4. We ask each family not to congregate after the practice/game and report to their cars as soon as possible.
Equipment
  1. Some critical equipment may not be able to be obtained by every individual. When it is necessary to share critical or limited equipment, all surfaces of each piece of shared equipment will be disinfected with an EPA-approved disinfectant against COVID-19 before used by a new player
  2. Balls will be disinfected prior to the start of each game and will be rotated out after each group. Each ball that is rotated out of use will be disinfected.
Suspected and Confirmed Cases
  1.  If a positive COVID-19 case is reported and traced back to our YMCA, we will cooperate fully with the guidance given to us by our local health department and will adhere to all HIPAA policies.
  2. The affected person(s) will be notified while keeping the individual’s identity confidential.
  3. Players, coaches, trainers, and officials must comply with the Local Health Department (LHD) and aid them.
  4. Players, coaches, trainers, and officials must comply with isolation and quarantine requirements from LHD
