Board members, volunteers and coaches will need to complete Coach/Manager registration with the Affiliation of "USYS" and Competitive Level of "Grassroots" for the Risk Management to appear on their Dashboard when they log into GotSport.

 

New in Fall 2025: 

LCSL Referee Abuse Policy Form Requirement will cascade down in registrations or will appear on the user dashboard once they are assigned a USYS Grassroots role, as seen below:

Seasonally, each community will report their Board Members on the template listed below to rhysterlcsl@gmail.com prior to the player registration due date.

Additionally, all Board Members need to be listed in the User section of GotSport. This should be reviewed and updated seasonally to ensure accuracy. See the steps below. 

     **If the board member is also a coach, use the email address of the coach account so that Risk Management is linked to the User.

If the User does not need access to sensitive data use the settings below: 

Role: "Reader'

Module Permissions: "Analytics"

 

If someone does not have Risk Management options, follow the steps for How to Change the Affiliation and Competitive Level for Coaches and Managers and select the following options 'USYS' and 'Grassroots' role. This will prompt GotSport to have Grassroot Risk Management requirements appear on their dashboard when they log into their account. 

Follow the steps provided by GotSport to Create a Registration Form in a Program, Registration Fee and Monthly Payment set up, and Open your Program.

Based on the updated requirements in the Lorain County Soccer League (LCSL) web page, all team names must include at least two of the following identifying items:

• Coach's First or Last Name

• Age Group

• Team Number

Examples of Valid Team Names

• Coach Name + Age Group: Smith U10

• Coach Name + Team Number: Coach Smith 555555

• Age Group + Team Number: U10 555555

• All Three Items: Smith U10 555555

• Affiliation - "USYS"
• Competitive Level - "Grassroots"

• All LCSL Teams are COED. If you have a all Boys or all Girls team then please indicate that here. This should align with the Team Commitment form. 

    Age Group: 

• Fall - For teams created prior to August 1, use the current age group of the team. On August 1, GotSport will age all teams up for the Fall. For example, for a Fall U7 team created in June, assign U6 as the age group. 

• Spring - Select the current age group of the team.
