HOOPERS ON1Y TOURNAMENT RULES

 

  1. ONLY HEAD COACH AND ASSITANT COACH ARE ALLOWED ON THE BENCH
  2. FOR YOUTH ONLY - 20 MIN HALVES WITH RUNNING CLOCK EXCEPT IN THE SECOND HALF IF SCORE IS UNDER 15 OR UNDER WITH 2 MINS LEFT.
  3. FOR HIGH SCHOOL ONLY – 4 QUARTERS OF 9 MINS EACH RUNNING CLOCK, STOP CLOCK ONLY APPLIES IN THE 4TH QUARTER IF TEAMS ARE WITHIN 15 POINTS IN THE LAST 2 MINUTES. ***1 MIN BREAK IN BETWEEN QUARTERS*** 3 MIN BREAK FOR HALFTIME***
  4. PREP DIVISION WILL PLAY 2 16 MIN HALVES WITH SHOT CLOCK AT PHHACILITY GYM ONLY
  5. 1 ON 1 AT 7 FOULS – DOUBLE BONUS AT 10 FOULS
  6. PLAYERS FOUL OUT AT 6 FOULS
  7. 2 TIMES OUTS PER HALF FOR 30 SECONDS
  8. OVERTIME IS 1 MIN WITH 1 TIME OUT EACH TEAM
  9. 2ND OVERTIME IS GOLDEN BASKET (FIRST TEAM THAT SCORES WINS) – NO TIME OUTS WILL BE ACCESSED
  10. A TEAM MUST START THE GAME WITH 5 PLAYERS. TEAMS MAY HAVE A 10-MINUTE GRACE PERIOD.
  11. SIZE OF BALL: 6TH GRADE BOYS AND ABOVE WILL USE A 29.5” BALL WHILE 5TH GRADE BOYS AND BELOW AND ALL GIRLS’ DIVISIONS WILL USE A 28.5” BALL.
  12. PLAYERS AND COACHES ARE EXPECTED TO ALWAYS SHOW GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP, INCLUDING THE SHAKING OF HANDS AFTER THE GAME.
  13. FAN CONDUCT COACHES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR INFORMING THEIR PARENTS AND FANS THAT -UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. (INCLUDING: TAUNTING, ARGUING, OR FIGHTING WITH REFEREES, FANS, PLAYERS, OR COACHES.) IF THERE IS AN ISSUE BETWEEN AN OFFICIAL AND A PARENT OR FAN, THE APPLICABLE COACH WILL BE ASKED TO TALK WITH THEM AS A WARNING. IF PROBLEMS PERSIST, THE REFEREE WILL CONTACT THE SITE MANAGER AND THAT PARENT OR FAN WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE PREMISES.
  14. ROSTER RULES PLAYERS ARE ALLOWED TO BE ON ONE ROSTER PER GRADE. ● A PLAYER MAY NOT BE ON TEAMS IN SEPARATE DIVISIONS OF THE SAME GRADE. ● COMPLETED ROSTER MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR PRIOR TO YOUR FIRST GAME. ● PLAYERS ELIGIBILITY WILL BE DETERMINED BY HOOPERS ON1Y STAFF. ● NO ROSTER ADDITIONS WILL BE PERMITTED AFTER THE TEAM HAS BEGUN PLAY OF ITS FIRST TOURNAMENT GAME. ● TEAMS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE PROOF OF GRADE/AGE AVAILABLE ON REQUEST. PROOF OF GRADE IS A CLEAN COPY OF ANY REPORT CARD OF THE CURRENT ACADEMIC YEAR. THERE IS A $100. ADMINISTRATION FEE FOR ANY CHALLENGE AND ALL CHALLENGES MUST BE DONE 1 HOUR PRIOR TO START OF GAME.
14. TEAM COACH IS RESPONSIBLE FOR FILLING OUT THE SCORESHEET FOR EACH         GAME. THIS WILL INCLUDE A PLAYERS' FIRST / LAST NAME AND UNIFORM                 NUMBER
  1. MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REMOVE ANY COACH, PLAYER, OR SPECTATOR AT ANY TIME!
