County Ice Center- Drop In Hockey

Violation of rules may result in Discipline under the Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation Division Standards of Patron Conduct.
STICK AND PUCK SESSION RULES
1.
A maximum of 25 players, including goalies, and (5) Salt Lake County–approved coaches are allowed on the ice during a Stick and Puck sessions.
2.
Scrimmaging or organized games are not allowed during Stick and Puck sessions.
3.
Skaters and coaches must wear helmets, hockey skates, and gloves. Full hockey equipment, including elbow pads, shin guards, hockey pants and other protective padding, is strongly recommended.
4.
All goalies are required to wear full protective gear.
5.
Skaters and goalies under age 18 must wear a face mask.
6.
Coaching may only be conducted by Salt Lake County–approved coaches, with no more than three (3) players per lesson at one time.
7.
Private lessons, drills, or groups must share the ice surface and may not reserve, monopolize, or exclusively use any section of the ice to the exclusion of other patrons.
8.
During Stick and Puck sessions, all skaters must wear hockey skates.
DROP IN HOCKEY SESSION RULES
1.
A maximum of 30 skaters and up to three (3) goalies of any ability level are allowed on the ice at any given time per session. No skaters under 15 years of age shall be permitted on the ice during drop-in sessions.
2.
The first three goalies skate free per session. Additional goalies may register and pay for a player spot if one is available.
3.
Full hockey equipment is required; however, face masks are not required for skaters age 18 and older.
4.
Coaching or instruction is not allowed during Drop-In Hockey sessions.
5.
During Drop-In Hockey sessions, hockey skates must be worn.
6.
No checking or fighting.
