Learn about the new graphics tools to resize and crop cover photos
As part of the QuickScores facelift last August, we gave you the ability to post a cover photo. Many of you jumped right on it and have really great looking websites. Some of you showed your local fields (like this or this) and some showed local landmarks (like this). Some of you depicted a sport (like this or this) while some used professional graphics designers (like this). For all those successes, we felt your pain on the failures. We could see that many of you uploaded a cover photo, didn't like the way it looked so you uploaded another. And another. And another. And all too often quit with no cover photo worth keeping. We quickly realized that most of you don't have powerful graphics software like Photoshop and that we needed to build some graphics tools into QuickScores. Today we are announcing that QuickScores has an easy feature that will allow you to resize and crop any cover photo you care to use. The photo or graphic you use should ideally be at least 1230 pixels wide. Go to where you define your cover photo (Setup » Main Setup » Header Layout and Branding) and you will find a new Resize/Crop Photo button. Click that and we'll very easily let you decide what portion of your photo shows in your banner area. And no problem if you don't have a good photo to start with. Just click on the new Photo Gallery button and pick one you like. Go ahead and post a cover photo for your website. You'll be amazed at how much better your website looks and, with our new tools, I think you'll have fun doing it!
