Quick Tip #65 - Limit administrators to specific seasons
A different way for Admins

Most of our clients are happy having a couple administrators with rights to create and edit all leagues or tournaments in the system. But for a growing number of our larger clients, they want additional admins that are limited in what they can do.

A couple years ago we gave you Sport Admins, that allowed you to isolate admins to specific sports. John can only work with basketball events, while Mary can only work with volleyball. What we just now added was Season Admins.

When you create stand-alone weekend tournaments, you probably put that event into its own season, like "2014 Labor Day Tournament". You now can give someone full administrative rights to create and edit events but only in a single season or tournament.

How do you create a Season Admin? One way is to call any QuickScores staff member and we can create that new login for you. Also, if one of your staff has been designated a Super Admin - a status that only QuickScores can grant - then your Super Admin can create and delete regular Admins, Sport Admins, and Season Admins.
