When teams play in your pool tournaments, they are always looking ahead, trying to figure out where they will end up in the bracket. If you use traditional seeding (#1 Seed, #2 Seed, and so on), they have to wait until the very last pool game before knowing their spot in the bracket. However, if you use predefined seeding, a team's seeding only depends on their rank within their own pool, so the teams know much sooner where they go in the bracket.

Because teams prefer the predefined seeding, nearly all of our tournament clients manually enter their seeds like A1, B1, A2, B2, etc.. Today we're announcing that the QuickScores software will now automatically create this optimal predefined seeding for you, with no other work required!

On the Create/Edit Tournament page, start by entering the number of placeholder teams that you need. Make sure the dropdown box indicates that you want "predefined seeding" and click the "Insert Teams" button. When all of the pool games have been played, just click the "Fill Bracket with Team Names" button and real team names will replace the placeholder names. It doesn't get any easier than that!
