Quick Tip #37 - Texting – the fastest way to spread news about a schedule change!
calendar We’ve added texting to our array of tools to allow more timely communications between sports administrators and coaches. And it’s free for coaches! It’s now just as easy to send text messages as it is to send email. Here’s how!

We start by getting coaches to subscribe to the service, because we won’t send any

text messages to them without their explicit approval. To start that process, all you need to do is add their email to any Teams page and the coach will automatically receive an email inviting them to register on QuickScores. If you already have emails entered for your coaches, you can click the INVITE COACHES TO REGISTER button at the bottom of the Teams page.

When a coach is registered, not only can they sign up to receive text messages, but they can also add a message to be displayed on their team’s printer-friendly schedule page.

Once your coaches have registered, you can send them a text message by clicking on the new EMAIL/TEXTING item in the left-hand menu. This will take you to the enhanced messaging page used to send email or text messages to any or all teams. Additionally, you can send text messages from any place (like the Teams, Post Scores, and Modify Schedule pages) where you see the small cell phone icon, indicating that a coach has registered to receive texts.

This Quick Tip is just a very brief synopsis. For more information, read the texting introduction document available on our new SUPPORT page, accessed from the top of the left-hand menu when you are logged in. The invitation to the coaches will include a link to a texting introduction for coaches that can also be found on the SUPPORT page.

If you do not want texting to be available from your website, contact any QuickScores staff member and we will disable the feature on your website.

Texting … one more way to close the communication gap between your organization and your teams.
