QuickScores Quick Tip #30 - Mix it up with Cross Pool schedules
Diving into a pool

QuickScores has generated schedules for pool tournaments for some time, and now we’ve added a new twist. In the past, all round-robin games were scheduled within a team's own pool. But now you can generate Cross Pool schedules where the teams from one pool play all of their games against a different pool.

To generate a Cross Pool round-robin, enter the teams and define the pools on the TEAMS page, just as they were done in the past. Next, click TIME SLOTS, which is where the Cross Pools are defined. Select the opponents for any pool from the selections on the right (note that the corresponding pool is automatically changed as well). Specify the number of games to be played by each pool.

Below the games and opponent selection, you will see a new display for the number of time slots needed to play the selected number of games. As you add or delete time slots, that display is updated until you have the perfect number of time slots.

Once you have completed defining your time slots, click CREATE SCHEDULE to set the tournament date, followed by GENERATE SCHEDULE.

There’s your schedule. It’s that simple.
