Quick Tip #27 - More Control and More Flexibility with Logins
|
In case you didn't notice, we recently made major changes to the login system on QuickScores.
It doesn't involve fingerprint or retina scanning, but we have added several enhancements that we think you'll
like.
In the past, there were two types of logins: an administrator and a league commissioner. Many of you
asked for more flexibility, such as creating a league commissioner for an entire sport or defining an administrator
with access to online registrations but not schedules. All of that has changed. There are now more types of users
and more options on what they can or cannot do.
|
Previously, logins weren't tied to an individual person, so it was impossible to know who was changing
your schedules. And if you wanted to add or delete a login, or you forgot your own login, you had to contact
someone on the QuickScores staff. So we added features that allow you to take control and manage the logins
for yourself and all the people in your organization.
Each organization may now have a Super Administrator. This individual can do everything an
administrator did before PLUS add and remove other users. This is done from the Edit Login Info section of the
Setup page. Each individual user and User Type can be customized for the kinds of functions you need.
Administrators have essentially the same access as you had in the past.
Sport Administrators are administrators in a restricted set of sports. They can also add
League Commissioners in their own sports.
Form Administrators can have access to all of the online registration features, but not
change schedules or the home page.
League Commissioners operate much the same as they did in the past, and now they are easier to setup.
Simply click Setup, followed by Edit Login Info. From there you can give
League Commissioners access to multiple leagues or even an entire sport. You can also add multiple
League Commissioners to any event.
Lastly, you no longer need to contact the QuickScores team to get your password. There is a new
Forgot Username or Password? function on the login screen. Enter your email address and we'll automatically send
you a new password.
These changes may sound a little complicated at first, but I think you'll find it’s pretty simple when you try it.
Your regular QuickScores contact will be glad to assist if you have any questions.
