Quick Tip #19 - Sub-events can greatly simplify complex tournaments QuickScores is one of the very few scheduling websites that puts all event information on *one* web page - standings, round-robin schedule, and playoff bracket. But some of our clients have asked for even more...the ability to have two or more brackets on that one page. For example, in a 12-team league, they may want their top eight finishers in one bracket and the bottom four finishers in a second bracket. Our new sub-events feature now allows you to put as many schedules and brackets as you want on a single page. To begin creating the example above, go to the Event Names page and create your "main event," the top-level league or tournament. Next, on the Event Names page, click the new Define Sub-Events button next to the main event. On the new Sub-Events page, you specify which other events you want to have appear on the same page with your main event. You may either select an existing event or create a new event to be a sub-event. This page also allows you to name and reorder the sub-events. After you have defined all of the sub-events, the Event Names page displays the sub-events indented in order under the main event, very clearly showing that they are connected. You will still use the Create Schedule, Modify Schedule and Post Results pages to setup your sub-events the same as any other event, but the public will now see the sub-events displayed on the same page as the main event.
