4 21 | The Durham Bulls pull a scene straight from the movie major league and demolish their opponent. Fernando Romo scores 5 times as the Bulls beat Chilled & Grilled. Other starz of the game for the Bulls were Chase Blackwood going 6-6. Chase straight from the White Sox organization shows why he is a pro. Josh Garrison also going 6-6 with a triple an double. For C&G Doug Maritt makes an unbelievable diving catch as Gary House crushes a single and Chris Cramer collects a couple of hits and Matt D |

8 25 | Whoa Nelly! The team from Bakersfield that took second place had a rough time with the underrated Tumbleweed group! D. Griffith was quoted saying, "We ran into a buzz saw tonight. They were very talented and we were much too confident...however, we booted the ball a bit and I think if we catch the ball and throw it there would have been a much different outcome. Starz of the game: Larry Disney 5-6 with 2 triples and RJ Plunkett 5-5 with a homerun-Swing & Miss Rocky O was the star for them. |

19 16 | Misfits score 5 runs in the last inning to overthrow the Ballers. Misfit Starz were: Taylor Jones, Buddy Owens, and Arron each were collecting several hits apiece. For the Ballers, Gio Florez rips 5 hits in the game and played stellar defense. |

11 36 | It looks lik the Dallas Cowboys played the Bears in this one... That is not a misprint.. Misfits score 36 points and make a statement to the league. Starz of the game: Misfits-Buddy Owens, Taylor Jones, Robert Clevland and Paul Doty...heck their whole team got 4 hits! For Chilled & Grilled: Randy Benson & Mike Russel scored 3 times and collected 3 hits. |

19 18 | Walk off double with the bases loaded causes Doug Hunt senio to be carted off the field on the shoulders of his teamates. Down by 2 runs with 2 outs Big Doug steps to the plate and delivers. Great game played by both teams!! Chase Blackwood goes 6-6 again crushing 3 homeruns while only 1 of them counted and the others...singles! Terrance Howell also blasted a couple of homeruns. For the Tummbleweeds Rey Devora scores 5 times going 5-5 and big Troy Smith also had 5 huge hits. |

27 28 | It came down to an extra point field goal... The crowd was getting ready for overtime the coahes started planning their overtime strategy but....hold on a minute....the hay is not in the barn! Swing and Miss missed the extra point! ...Ballers score 4 runs in the last inning while Swing & Miss struck out 3 consecutive times to end the game! Starz of the game- Swing & Miss:D. Griff with 4 runs scored and 4 hits as did Pablo, Rocky and Big Scott. Ballers:Gio Florez, Bobby Krier and Mauel |

11 9 | Swing & Miss strikes out again, blowing a 9-3 lead in the last inning to the Ballers. Coach/Player Dave Vonhout was quoted after the game, “They are who we thought they were! We had them where we wanted them and we let them off the hook! If you want to crown them, then crown them! But they are who we thought they were!” Pablo “Top Heavy” Heraldez and Ricky Francis each went deep in the game. |

18 10 | The Tumbleweeds pull off the first upset of the night by taking down the mighty Durham Bulls. Doug Hunt talked to the media and said, “Any time you think you have the game conquered, the game will turn around and punch you right in the nose, and that’s what happened tonight.” Trying to sneak anything buy Larry Disney tonight was like trying to sneak a sunset by a rooster. He had 4 hits and Doug Rowland also had 4. |

10 4 | The Misfits didn’t look out of place in this game as they tally up another W in the win column. Buddy Owens lead the attack with 2 triples and a double while Sean “I fought the laws and Yaws won”, had 3 hits and Aarron Rogers hit a homer and double. Billy Pilgrim goes a perfect 3-3 with a long ball and Randy Bensin knocks a couple of base hits. |

20 5 | The Durham Bulls wanted revenge against anyone, they didn’t care who it was, after getting beat in their first game. The Bulls jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, Chase Blackwood and Terrance Howell each sent a ball into orbit for the Bulls. Les Clark racked up his 200th career softball hit. “It took me 10 years to get to 200 in softball. I did it last week at B.V. in one afternoon.” For Swing & Miss Derrick Furman went yard and Rocky O’neill had 3 hits. |

18 26 | The Ballers keep ballin racking up 2 wins, this one was a shootout, they scored 10 runs in the 1st to kick off the game. Gio Flores, Scott Wimmer and Tommy Tutone racked up 5 hits each and scored a combined 14 runs. But the Chilled & Grilled went down in a blaze of glory, Cris Cramer and Matt Downey each get 4 hits, Cramer drove in 6 runs and a dinger. |

23 18 | The Tumbleweeds take down both of the undefeated teams in Misfits and the Bulls and become a contender for the top team in the league. The Tumbleweeds scored 15 runs in the 2nd inning and never looked back. The Misfits put up 7 run rally at the end, but they still needed 5 more runs. Larry Disney, Rey Devora, Jesse Simmons and Doug Rowland all went deep for the Tumbleweeds. Stars for the Misfits were Big Ron with 3 doubles and a homer and Rick and Robert each had 3 hits. |

16 8 | Ballers have a late rally stall in the last inning as the Bulls pour on the runs in the first inning. Chase Blackwood hits a shot into orbit for the Bulls as Troy Hoffman slams a couple of doubles. For the Ballers Bobby Krier, Gio Florez and Ken (Switch Hitter) Swope all collected several hits in the game. |

19 6 | The Heat is on! Its on the street! No the Harlem Starz are not in town and yes Swing & Miss loses again. Stars of the game for Swing & Miss: Kyle Griffith & Bryan Yackovich both collect 3 hits apiece. For the Misfits:Cole, and Aaron both have 3 hits a piece and score as many. Cole had this to say after the game, "They have the horses and the troph, you can't make em' drink...however." |

Starz for the Tummbleweed crew was Larry Disney, RJ Plunket, Rey Devora and Rowland and so on all collecting multiple hits... For Chilled & Grilled... Jack Hedrick and his staff for being voted best steak restraunt in town! |

12 11 | Whoa...hold the horses the upset monkey was on the fence tonight! Ballers go into the last inning up by 1 run after scoring 5 runs in their last at bat can not hold on... Larry Disney for the tummbleweeds crushes a walk off double to score Jesse Simmons and R. Wescott. |

23 15 | Run the press, hold the phones, call your grandparents, tell the Midway Thriller the Giants won the pennant, the Giants won the pennant! Not really, but Swing & Miss is in the win column! The team that was favored to be in the top tier is on the bottom and their fan base is wanting some answers. Coach D. Griff. had this to say, "We have moved on and can only speak on this game, we won!" Editors Note:D. Griff has been removed from play calling duties. General Manager Pablo will take over. |

18 27 | The Bulls score 22 runs with 2 outs to go up 27-2 in 2 innings...wow! Every person on the Bulls team contributed but Terrance Howell and Chase Blackwood recorded a couple Homeruns that would hae killed a small child if they had been hit. As for the Misfits they had a late game rally that came up a little short. Starz of the game for them were Robert 6-6 Cleveland and the Mr. Jones man as well as Greg Smother the ball man. |

16 8 | Swing & Miss had things going early on but allow 11 runs in the last 2 innings to falter .....again! Stars of the game, Tummbleweeds:Kendrick, Rey Devora both had 3 hits apiece. Swing & really MISS: Derrick Furman goes long Ball and Pablo Montoya plays stellar defense and scores 2 runs. |

22 21 | Several unidentified flying objects were reported on this game...16 homeruns in all were recorded and ove 40 hits....Terrance HOwell gets a walk off single in the last inning to beat the Misfits. There were several starz of the game or should I say Homerun Derby but Troy Hoffman goes yard 3 times in as many at bats in the VICTORY! |

24 2 | In a night that had it all, Sprinklers coming on, collisions at home plate, towering home runs, great plays, bad plays, circus catches and call shots the Bulls come away with yet another impressive vistory. Stars of the game for the Bulls:Chase Blackwood with 2 homeruns, Clint Jorgenson, Fernando Romo, Terrance Howell and Keith Stearman all crushed 3 hits apiece. For GrilledBilly Pilgrim played stellar defense and collected 3 hits. |

13 12 | What a game!Tommy Halphin hits a 2 run walk off double to win the game in the last inning. Taylor Jones was quoted after the game, "If we played 8 innings we would have clearly won this game." Their in lies the problem...the games only last 7 innings! Starz of the game were, Misfits:Aaron Brockavich 3 hits including a homerun and Gary Mock with a triple and homerun. Ballers:Tommy Halphin 4 for 4 including a walk off homerun and Gio Flores with 3 hits including 3 runs scored. |

13 16 | A good ole fashioned slugfest between these two teams last night. There were a total of 8 lead changes but the Tumble Weeds took the W. A walk-off grand slam by Ryan Matilla sealed the deal for the Tumble Weeds. After the game a frustrated Buddy Owens spoke to the reporters, “You play to win the game, you don’t play to lose. You play to win. Am I happy about the game, no. They out played us when it counted and we played no defense and gave the game away.” |

23 5 | They were Ballin against C & G, scoring 8 runs in the 1st to set the tempo for the rest of the game. Billy Pilgrim told his guys before the game, “You got a round ball, a round bat, but you got to hit it square.” Well, they couldn’t quite figure that one out but Ricky Francis and James Donelly did, each one racking up 4 hits apiece and 4 runs. After the game, Pilgrim said this, “Finish last in the league and people call you bad, finish last in medical school, people call you doctor.” |

24 13 | Swing & Miss has done the impossible, they knocked off the heavily favored Bulls just before playoffs. S& M put the pressure on the Bulls early and didn’t let up. Derrick Furman blasted 2 shots and Pablo Montoya took out 1. Clark didn’t look to happy with the outcome after the game, “There are 3 types of baseball players, those who make it happen, those who watch it happen, and those who wonder what just happened and we were those who wondered what just happened.” |

11 33 | That’s no misprint, the Bulls bounce back after their loss and tack on the runs to beat the Ballers by 22 runs. 5 different players for the Bulls went yard in the game. Ricky Francis was with the media, “We played so bad tonight, anytime we got a batter up in the count 2-0, we considered that a rally.” Starz of the game for the Bulls, well… the entire Bulls roster and for the Ballers, the kid on their bench who went and got all of the homerun balls. |

17 23 | Swing & Miss couldn’t carry their momentum after knocking out the Bulls and lose to the Misfits. The Misfits score a total of 16 runs in the last 2 innings to take the game away. But the excitement came in the 5th, a 3 run lead for the Misfits and they brought in the closer, Robert Cleveland, needing only 3 saves to tie the record with John the Baptist, it was a 2 inning outing, but his fine pitching skills gave him his 243rd lifetime save. We’ll keep you posted on the chase for the record. |

9 30 | The Tumble Weeds don’t hold anything back against the Chilled & Grilled, scoring 30 runs in their victory. Ryan Mattila carried over his success with his walk-off homer the game before and blasted 2 in this one. He talked about their lack of exposure in the media, “This is nothing. I’ve got nine writers standing here, Clark had 20 writers when he had 2 last week. We are getting no respect, just wait and you will see us the WSRPD World Series.” |

19 22 | On the last game of the season, facing a winless season, Chilled & Grilled gave it one last ditch effort to get in the win column. They had the lead the entire game, until the dreaded 7th inning when Derrick Furman blasted a 3 run shot to crush their hopes and dreams. They now join the likes of the Detroit Lions and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Doug Maritt was clearly flustered, “Playoffs? We didn’t win a game and you’re me asking about playoffs?” Yes, everyone makes the playoffs in this league |

4 19 | The Tumble Weeds were breezing through the competition last night and are looking tough for playoff time. RJ Plunkett hit 2 triples and a double in the game, “I don’t know why people like the home run ball so much, it is over as soon as it started. The triple is the most exciting play in baseball, it’s like hitting on a pretty girl, you never know how it is going to turn out.” |
