Adult Softball Tournament

Dec 12-14, 2014

 1. Teams must turn in a completed roster prior to the first game. Roster must be approved prior to play.   Players may play only on one team in each division . The divisions for this tournament are Men's Open, Men’s Rec, Women's, Coed, and Senior.

2. All players must also be listed on official line up card for each game. Please pick up your line up cards for the first two games at check in. You must list first and last name as well as jersey # on the line up card.

3. Home team is the official book. Officials will be noting scores on the line up cards. Please check score on each half inning to make sure everyone has the same score.

4. The format for this tournament will be “1 pitch”. The definition of one pitch is that the batter receives one pitch and will hit, walk, strike out, or foul out and will have no “Courtesy Fouls”.

5. Time limits for games will be 35 minutes or 7 innings, finish the inning. Game time is forfeit time. Players must be in dugout to be counted.

6. Home team will be determined by coin flip. International tie breaker will be used after 35 minutes or 7 innings which ever comes first. Championship will have time limit and run rule applied.

7. Home Runs: Can purchase home runs at registration desk. Limit 5 per game. Tickets must be presented at pre-game meeting. Home runs not used in game will be lost.

· Women Intermediate/ Recreational: None

· Mixed Intermediate/ Recreational: None

8. Official Balls: Teams must furnish and bat their own ball. Men, 12” softball COR .44, compression 400(Classic M) Women, 11” softball COR .47 compression 40 0(Classic W). Continued use of any ball will be up to the discretion of the umpire and/or tournament director. Teams unable to provide an adequate ball will forfeit the opportunity to be “home team.”

9. All bats must have the USSSA thumb print. Also no fast pitch bats will be allowed.

10. Jerseys must have a non-duplicate number and similar color are required as judged by field supervisor. Players must have a picture id for all games. No id, no play.

11. Run Rules: 20 @ 3, 15 @ 4, 10 @ 5

12. Courtesy runner (s) may be used once per inning (Men’s & Women’s Divisions) and twice (one male & one female) per inning. Runner can be any player on the roster of the same gender. If the runner comes to bat while on base it is an out.

13. Ejection from game is suspension from current game.   Players or managers continued participation in the tournament after an ejection will be at discretion of tournament director. Two ejections from any division in the same tournament will result in tournament expulsion.

14. Unsportsmanlike conduct directed toward any official, player, coach or spectator will not be tolerated. The penalty for this behavior can be ejection for the entire tournament.

15. Alcohol is not allowed in the Park. If caught, you will be ejected from the Park for the rest of the tournament. Do not drink in the Parking lots. They are considered a part of the Park.

16. Games times and locations may be changed due to inclement weather. Game status may be checked on www.quickscores.com/elpaso.

17. Any team/player found using an illegal bat will be subject to disciplinary actions.

18. Protests must be submitted prior to the last out of the game in question. Rulings on Protests are final and can not be appealed.

19.  NO MUSIC IN OR OUTSIDE OF DUGOUTS.

20. Awards will be given to first and second place only.
