This league is another gradual step for many of the kids moving up from our 11&12-Year-Old division. Full baseball rules apply, the field is larger, the game is longer, and the players are honing their skills in a competitive league in anticipation of entering high school baseball. The 13&14 teams are selected by tryouts and draft. Coaches are allowed to protect up to 6 players per team with parent consent. The protected players are not required to tryout. Other players who do not tryout will be considered as non-tradable hat picks.
This division plays between 12 and 14 games in the spring season and 8 to 10 games in the fall season. Both seasons include inter-league games with other area leagues such as Georgetown, Pflugerville, Cedar Park, Liberty Hill and others. Half of the games will be played at T&C and the other half will be played at those other area fields. Practices are usually 1-2 times per week and are typically held at T&C field #14.
Our Coaches Selection Committee will select Coaches. All Head and Assistant Coaches will be certified by Kids Sports Network and are required to attend a coaches clinic provided by T&C. If you have a heart for the kids and some prior coaching experience (preferred) at this level, please email me with your coaching background experience.
