YOUTH SPORTS PROGRAMS AND CLASSES


Youth Sports programs and classes are advertised in all seasons of the program guide.
 
 


PE MIX (ages 3-5)
For parents not able to provide direct one-on-one participation for our Start Smart programs, PE Mix is a great alternative.  PE Mix is a wonderful opportunity to introduce children to basic sports such as basketball, soccer, tee ball, and individual sports with a strong emphasis on FUN! Classes are held once per week for five weeks at the Center and are taught by Erie Parks & Recreation staff members.  Fee includes a t-shirt and all equipment is provided. Registration deadline is one week prior to the first class.

Instructional Soccer (ages 4-5)
Instructional Soccer is a great program to teach children basic fundamentals such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense. Classes are held once per week for five weeks. Official games will not be played and travel is not required. Fee includes a t-shirt and all equipment is provided.  Registration deadline is one week prior to the first class.

Instructional Flag Football (ages 4-5)
Instructional Flag Football is a great program to teach children basic fundamentals such as passing, throwing, catching, running, and flag-pulling. Classes are held once per week for five weeks. Official games will not be played and travel is not required. Fee includes a t-shirt and all equipment is provided.  Registration deadline is one week prior to the first class.

Instructional Tee Ball (ages 4-5)
Instructional Tee Ball is a great program to teach children basic fundamentals such as throwing, fielding, hitting, and running. Classes are held once per week for five weeks. Official games will not be played and travel is not required. Fee includes a t-shirt and all equipment is provided.  Registration deadline is one week prior to the first class.
 
Instructional Tee Ball runs May-June



Little Dribblers Basketball (ages 4-5)
This program introduces participants to the fundamentals of basketball. Participants will be introduced to shooting, passing, dribbling, sportsmanship, and more. Classes will be held once per week for five weeks. Official games will not be played and travel is not required. Fee includes a t-shirt and all equipment is provided.  Registration deadline is one week prior to the first class.
